Ben Janaitis is the Client Services Manager at Aviation Personnel International (API), where he supports corporate flight departments and high-net-worth individuals throughout the hiring process. By blending operational insight with a people-first approach, Ben helps clients build safe, high-performing teams grounded in trust. Beginning every engagement with an onsite workplace assessment, aligning hiring needs with organizational goals and safety standards.
Ben’s 11-year maintenance career includes roles at Johnson & Johnson and DuPont, where he supported Gulfstream and Bombardier aircraft as both a technician and flight mechanic. Ben’s technical expertise, combined with a deep understanding of team dynamics; enables him to guide clients toward hiring professionals who enhance both culture and safety.
Ben holds FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) and Inspection Authorization (IA) credentials, along with multiple factory certifications, including Gulfstream G-550 and Challenger 300 Master Technician. Ben also earned the Satcom Direct AeroIT and NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician certifications, underscoring his commitment to technical excellence.
Trained as a social worker, Ben brings empathy and discernment to every placement. A graduate of the University of Maine, he is a former member of NBAA’s Flight Attendant/Technician Committee and an advocate for holistic, safety-centered hiring in business aviation.
