Marty Grier is the Director, Aircraft Maintenance and employed by The Home Depot aviation department in Atlanta Georgia for over 20 years.

Grier has a bachelor’s degree in business management & Ethics, Airframe & Powerplant license with Inspection Authorization. He is a Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) since 2008 and a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2007.

With more than 45 years of aviation experience, Marty has held various positions including, Vice President, General Manager, Director of Technical Services and Director of Maintenance for major business aviation organizations.

Grier has played a significant role in the Home Depot Safety Management System, participating in the path to achieve OSHA VPP and IS-BAO Stage III.

Grier has served on the NBAA Safety Committee in various roles over the past 12 years, including leading the safety project team that developed the NBAA Safety Manager Certificate program. Prior to that, Marty served on the NBAA Maintenance committee for 5 years and chaired the 2010 MMC conference in San Diego. In addition, through ACP Grier volunteers to help military personnel ease the transition back into civilian life and workforce.

Grier is also a 2018 Dr. Tony Kern Professionalism in Aviation Award recipient and a 2018 Bombardier Safety Standdown Award recipient, making him the first ever maintenance professional to receive this award.
