Matt McNeil is the founder, President, Clinical Director, and Director of Human Performance at LiftAffect, a clinical mental health and consulting company that assists air carriers, corporate flight departments, pilot unions, and commercial pilots by providing comprehensive psychotherapy and mental skills coaching services to pilots with mental health and mental performance-related issues. LiftAffect has successfully assisted more than 3,500 professional pilots since 2010. McNeil actively serves on several national aviation safety committees and has lectured globally on pilot mental health and mental performance. He holds graduate degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Human Factors Psychology, Aviation Safety Systems, and Clinical Psychology. McNeil has 17 years of professional flight experience as a commercial airline pilot and instructor. In addition to flying and teaching at his previous airline he served as the SME to the Mental Health, HIMS, Professional Standards, and Critical Incident Stress Management peer programs. McNeil lives in Denver Colorado with his wife and six-year-old daughter.
