Richard has worked in aviation maintenance for over 38 years, including 10 years in the U.S. Air Force, where he earned his Master Instructor rating as a Field Training Instructor. He worked with McDonald Douglas as a Technical Advisor, Technical Trainer, and Training Coordinator. Prior to GlobalJet, he spent 9-½ years with factory service center as a lead technician, supervisor, quality control inspector, and OJT instructor on Learjet.

He is a licensed A&P and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Environmental Science.
