Randall Brooks

Randall Brooks is the Executive Vice President of Flight Operations and an Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) Instructor Pilot for Aviation Performance Solutions (APS). He oversees the safety and maintenance demands of a fleet of 10 all-attitude capable jet and piston training aircraft and leads the pilots, maintenance technicians, and support staff in their delivery of UPRT. Brooks holds an Airline Transport Pilot Rating with over 14,500 hours of flight experience and has been directly involved with UPR instruction and policy for over 15 years.

After receiving a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado, Brooks began flying airshows, performing on multiple formation aerobatic demonstration teams for more than a decade. Following his airshow career, he worked as a corporate pilot and in flight operations and training for an aircraft manufacturer. His roles have included marketing demonstration and display pilot, director of operations, director of training, working as a flight test engineer, and flying as a production test pilot.

Brooks has been a participant and subject matter expert on multiple international working groups and rulemaking committees devoted to improvements in stall training and UPRT. He received the NBAA Dr. Tony Kern Professionalism Award recognizing demonstrated professionalism and leadership in support of aviation safety.
