Nick W. Verdea, CAM, GLP

Nick has been flying in business aviation for four decades and has been in a management capacity for the past 24 years. As Director, Aviation and Travel for the past decade for The Williams Companies, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nick led an IS-BAO Stage III flight department that focuses on risk mitigation and a culture of safety before his retirement in 2022. Nick holds a Certified Aviation Manager (CAM), a Global Leadership Professional designation (GLP), and a master’s degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a bachelor's degree from the Ohio State University.   

As a business aviation executive, Nick specializes in process improvement, high-performance operational integrity and a culture of safety – in 2021,he was awarded the Tony Kern Professionalism in Aviation and Bombardier’s Safety Standdown awards. Nick previously served on the NBAA Business Aviation Management Council (BAMC) and as a Board Member of the CAM program. Nick also previously sat on the Board of Directors for the Tulsa Air and Space Museum. 

With more than 13,000 accident-free flight hours and having completed the University of Southern California’s Aviation Safety Management Systems program back in 2012, Nick is an adamant defender of the Culture of Safety and Professionalism, particularly Bombardier’s Safety Standdown, to further the ideals of business aviation.
