Dr. Terry Taylor

Dr. Terry Taylor has 40 years of experience in the field of aviation, including over 20 years in safety management. Following his retirement from the Federal Aviation Administration, Aviation System Standards Office of Safety and Quality Assurance, he formed Chameleon, Inc., a safety management and organizational development consulting and training company. Since 2003, he has been an Associate Instructor at the USDOT Transportation Safety Institute Aviation Division, developing and instructing in TSI’s Internal Evaluation Program, Safety Management Systems, and Aviation Safety Program Officer Courses. He is currently working with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations as a contractor with KeyBridge Technologies, Inc., assisting CBP with the implementation of a Safety Management System. Dr. Taylor has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Aeronautical Science at Embry-Riddle University’s worldwide campus for 20 years, servings as a Director of Academics, Lead Faculty for Crew Resource Management and Cognitive Psychology courses, online course developer, and instructor in a variety of Aeronautical Science courses, including Safety, Human Factors, Psychology, and Ethics. He has served as Chairman of the Board for the State of Oklahoma State Accrediting Agency, and as a Board Member for the International Society of Safety Professionals. He is a Certified International Safety Manager, (CISM), and has USDOT Advance Safety Officer and Interagency Civil Aviation Policy Safety Officer Certificates. Terry holds a doctorate in applied studies in aviation from Oklahoma State University, and a masters and bachelor degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma.
