Fitness for Duty (FFD) is a critical element of any Safety Management System. FFD applies to all aviation professionals, not just pilots. This workshop offers methods for assessing personal FFD and that of fellow aviation professionals. Attendees will learn of subtle and common factors that compromise FFD. Strategies for developing a FFD program in corporate and business aviation flight departments, including assessment of the failing aviator, will be presented. Dr. Snyder will be available for individual and private discussions with attendees following the workshop.
