Jason Starke is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in aviation. Currently holding the position of Vice President of Operations at Baldwin Safety & Compliance, Jason also serves as an instructor for BaldwinVirtualTraining.com. In this capacity, Jason assists organizations in understanding and implementing safety management systems. Before joining Baldwin, Jason was the Operations Manager for the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). His journey in the aviation industry includes a significant tenure at Universal Weather and Aviation, where he played a pivotal role in developing a comprehensive SMS solution for client flight departments, encompassing both software and classroom training. Jason's experience extends to his time as a pilot and Director of Safety at Priester Aviation in Chicago.

During his tenure, he spearheaded the development of the company's SMS and successfully implemented its FOQA program. Jason also worked as a part-time simulator instructor for Flight Safety International, contributing to the CL-601 and HS-800XP training programs. Jason is a highly qualified aviator with an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and is rated CE-500, CL-600, and HS-125. He also holds a 14 CFR 107 remote pilot command license for sUAS operations. His journey began in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a satellite system operator. Jason earned his B.S. in Meteorology from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Aviation Science from Everglades University. He also holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Leadership from North Central University. Jason's commitment to aviation safety is evident through his involvement in various industry panels. He served on the Safety Management and Flight Operations panels at ICAO and has been an active member of the NBAA Safety Committee since 2013. Additionally, he served as an instructor at the University of Southern California, Viterbi School of Engineering, in an Aviation Safety Management System course.
