Michael Cataldo is the Sr. Manager of Aircraft Maintenance at Cox Enterprises, Inc., Flight Operations, based in Atlanta, Georgia. He leads a team responsible for total asset management of a Part 91 fleet of aircraft and the associated infrastructure. His focus on safety, exceptional customer service, and resource stewardship has driven his success in this role.

With 25 years of experience in business aviation, Michael began his career at a Part 145 repair station before joining Cox Enterprises as an Aircraft Technician in 2002. Over the years, he advanced through roles such as Safety Officer, where he led the ISBAO certification process and developed programs for FOQA, OSHA compliance, and Continuous Improvement. In 2019, he was promoted to his current leadership role.

Michael earned an Airframe and Powerplant License after completion of the Aviation Maintenance Technology program at Atlanta Technical College. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Master of Science in Accounting from Georgia Southern University, specializing in finance and tax.

His professional achievements include eight Master Technician awards from Flight Safety International, completion of the USC Aviation Safety and Security program, and earning the NBAA Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) certification. Michael also serves as Chair of the Regulatory and Operational Compliance Subcommittee for the NBAA Maintenance Committee.

A dedicated mentor, Michael actively supports the next generation of aviation professionals through mentorship programs at Cox Enterprises and NBAA. And as an instrument-rated private pilot, he spends much of his free time flying and is currently training towards a commercial pilot certificate.
