Dave Strassburg is a Demonstration Pilot and Safety Manager for Bombardier. Dave first career was as a pharmacist. He practiced pharmacy for 15 years and was selected National Pharmacist of the Year by Drug Topics Magazine in September 2000. He later started an international medical device manufacturing and marketing company, Strassburg Medical, patenting and bringing several orthopedic and sports medicine devices to market.

Dave discovered aviation during college and pursued additional ratings and certifications during his pharmacy career. Later, he used business aviation to support his medical device business. Dave is still an active Gold Seal flight instructor in single-engine, multi-engine, and glider aircraft. He was named the 2021 FAA Eastern Region CFI of the year and the 2021 AOPA Eastern Region CFI of the year.

Dave is an FAA Safety Team Lead Rep and WINGSPro. He recruits and trains Safety Reps for the FAA and organizes aviation safety seminars. He manages Bombardier’s Industry Member agreement with the FAA Safety Team to collaborate on aviation safety initiatives. Bombardier is the first OEM to enter into such an agreement. Dave was selected as 2020 FAA Safety Team Rep of the Year for the Eastern Region and serves as President of Northampton Wright Flight, a youth STEM aviation educational program designed to expose middle-schoolers to aviation.
