Pete Agur is the Chairman and Founder of The VanAllen Group. He retired from daily involvement in the firm at the end of 2017. He continues to support Jeff Agur, CEO and the firm as the Chairman. Pete recently completed his term as the first Executive in Residence at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s O’Maley College of Business.   In this role, he was responsible for bringing a strong real-world connection with the aerospace industry. He has written more than 100 articles for a wide variety of business and industry publications. 

Pete holds an MBA as well a Bachelor of Sciences in Aeronautical Sciences. Pete has his Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) designation from the NBAA as well as an ATP for fixed wing, commercial helicopter and private glider ratings.  For many years, he was an active member of the Flight Safety Foundation’s Business Aviation Advisory Committee and the NBAA’s Corporate Aviation Management Committee. In 2018, Pete was recognized twice for his numerous contributions to the industry:  The Flight Safety Foundation’s Business Aviation Meritorious Service Award and the NBAA’s John P. “Jack” Doswell Award.
