The rate and numbers of runway excursions in the world has remained steady in the last decade. Nearly 25% of accidents involve a runway excursion. To address what needs to change to reduce this trend, an international team coordinated by the Flight Safety Foundation came together to publish the Global Action Plan for the Prevention of Runway Excursions (GAPPRE) in 2021. The team published 101 recommendations organized by group for airport operators, air navigation service providers, aircraft operators, aircraft manufacturers, regulators, and researchers. This workshop will provide a summary of the recommendations through the lens of a business aviation operation.​
