Ryan has been in the aviation industry since 2009 and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management. He spent seven years as a Safety Analyst for the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) at a 121 carrier. Because of his experience in analytics, human factors and database management, he was able to identify hundreds of safety threats and hazards that were successfully mitigated through his facilitation of the event review committee (ERC) process. He provided SMS training to management and the FAA and provided his expertise in designing their SMS database. Ryan has received training in Human Factors Analysis & Classification System (HFACS), Six Sigma, MITRE SMS training, and FAA ASAP training.

Currently, Ryan is working for Universal Technical Resource Services (UTRS) on their WBAT platform. He manages and facilitates all aspects of the ASAP programs for Part 135, 91 carriers around the country. As part of his role, he assists the MOU execution, ERC & FSDO training, database set up, ASAP report processing, ERC meeting facilitation, recommendation tracking and data analysis for these carriers.
