The connection between effective decision making and adopting a safety mindset cannot be overstated. In any company or organization, a clear, universally accepted and practiced safety mindset is a prerequisite for making optimal decisions. “Safety mindset” means something well beyond simply nurturing a positive attitude about safety. Rather, it is about developing a holistic understanding of how the mind works in order to make effective decisions regarding safety.
